Funny Side Up is a personal part of our household

Funny Side Up' has lived in the Leech household since my wife's dad (Wiley) became ill and eventually died of the same disease Al Squitieri survived (Polymyositis). Al tells all in his book 'Broken Glass and All.' My wife's mom now lives in a small cottage adjacent to our home, and whenever any of us get sad thinking about Wiley, we can read a chapter or two of 'Funny Side Up' and the tears of sadness are transformed into to tears of laughter. Thanks Al for helping us cope. Mike Leech, Reader

    Funny Side Up

Rating: Two fives! Reviewed by E.L. Burton (author of $oft Money) 6/28/2001 I met Al online, and after getting to know him, I decided to read Funny Side Up. It was hilarious. I would recommend this book to anyone who needs a good laugh and a real taste of life. I would like to thank Al for his contribution to the literary profession. It is a sincere pleasure to know him and to have had the chance to learn a little more about him through his writing.

    Funny Side Up

I finished reading and laughing thru this book, 'Funny Side Up.' I'll be recommending it to others. Al did an excellent job of entertaining with his humorous stories. And as I recall, he did an excellent job of preaching too. Now I'm going to read his other book, 'Broken Glass And All.' I expect it to be more informative than humorous, though, I can't picture Al not including some humor in all his writing. Bob Tubaugh, Palm Harbor, Florida.

Laughed out loud from page one.

This book is F U N N Y! Mr. Squitieri's ability to lift the weight of the world off your sholder's through his humorous stories is a true gift for the reader. His real life stories are hilarious... written for young and old alike. You'll laugh from start to finish. In one sitting, because you won't be able to put it down.
