    My eight-year-old daughter's review:

"This is a perfect book for kids ages 2-5. The main theme of the story is to never give up even when it's tough. I think that the parts about the dog bath and noodles would really appeal to little kids--I think they would find it funny. I thought the illustrations in the book were really good. I would recommend this to kids who are in the ages listed above--it is a great book!"

I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I was not financially compensated in any way, and all opinions are 100 percent mine.

Great Children's Book with A Message

This is a darling read to share with your children. I shared this with my 4 and 6 year old and they were delighted with the story...they wouldn't leave things half done...no way!!
The drawings and the glitter cover really drew them in, and the use of a dog put them over the top! The kids were enchanted with the fact that they might have Guardian Angels! As the story revolves around Sophie and her Angel Gabby, and how Gabby helped save the day!
Don't miss this one, the story is great and a learning lesson, and the graphics are adorable.

I received this book from Tommy Nelson, and was not required to give a positive review.

Having problems getting your child to actually finish what they start? Spend some quality time with Gabby and see if she can help a youngster with the same problem.

    Hott Review
I really like the stories featuring Gabby. They’ve been great lessons for my daughter for years. We love hearing about this sweet guardian angel and the children she tries to help with commitment and God’s Word.

A fun, easy to read book with a great message, this Gabby, God’s Little Angel book teaches children to keep trying. Gabby is one of God’s guardian angels. She is assigned to Sophie, a little girl with good intentions, but not much determination. Now, Gabby is going to help Sophie learn perseverance.
The colorful, cheerful illustrations fit the attitude of the book. Children, especially little girls, will be attracted to the bright, happy pictures while reading. Gabby’s Stick-to-It Day allows the young reader to have fun and learn an important lesson with Sophie.
Parents would like to have a book like this at home to read with their children. The dialogue and writing is warm and happy. This book is ideal for a bedtime story or anytime a parent and child would like to sit down and read together. Christian families would appreciate the values extolled in Gabby’s Stick-to-It Day, as well, but anyone would like the message of diligence taught by this book.
This book would make a great Easter gift for a little girl who would like to learn about sticking-to-it!

My daughter was so excited to see this book arrive, as she adored the first book in the series, Gabby, God's Little Angel, which we reviewed last year. She laughed at the adventures of trying to wash a dog, as bathing our Marley is an adventure in itself, as she is so large, and will not stay in a tub! We had quite a discussion after reading the book about starting projects and finishing them! Whether it 'stuck' I'm not too sure (pun intended), as she's 4! LOL. But the Gabby books have her believing in her own guardian angel, so we shall see!

I love this series as it helps teach character with Christian values! It is on the top of my list for books to give to little girls especially!

Usually I review adult books here on the blog, but as the father of four young children, I occasionally like to review children's books. Three of my kids are girls, so I'm constantly trying to introduce them to good resources that point them to Jesus. That's why I love the resources put out by Sheila Walsh, singer, songwriter, and author. We especially enjoy the Gigi, God's Little Princess DVD series. It helps instill in them the truth that God created them uniquely and loves them unconditionally.

Sheila's latest book for girls is Gabby's Stick To-It Day. It's a light, beautifully illustrated storybook that shares the tale of a girl who has a hard time finishing things and an angel who observes. I love this story because it subtly reinforces the values of persistence and faithfulness in little girls, especially when their favorite tasks get hard.

It's one more good book to add to your children's library, one that will stand out, not simply for the values it teaches, but more importantly for the Jesus who loves them.

    I highly recommend this book.

Raffles, a senior angel, was asking the Gabby and her friends about the child each angel was watching over. Gabby seemed to have a problem with the child, Sophie, she is watching over. It appears Sophie never seems to finish any task she starts. She gets frustrated and gives up too soon. This happens over and over again. Gabby is always there rescuing her from pending disasters. Gabby is at her whits ends as to how to get through to Sophie to encourage her to finish what she starts.

Can Gabby really get through to poor frustrated Sophie? I think with God's guidance and His little angel Gabby it is possible for Sophie to have more confidence in herself.

I was very touched by this endearing little story about Gabby and Sophie and the Stick to it Day. The illustrations depict the authors writing without any doubt as to what the story is about. Even if a child just looks at the pictures they will be able to tell what Gabby and Sophie are up to. Of course you must read the book with to the child so they will get the full picture. I am sure your child with be delighted with this book.

I highly recommend this book. In fact I will be passing it on to my two year old granddaughter.

    I rate this book a 5 out of 5.
