Buckhorn Bachelors Dropping Like Flies

At least that's how it seems in this multi-title series from Lori Foster. The latest free-agent to take a walk down the matrimonial path is Gabe Kasper, youngest of the brood and the most frisky. Gabe makes no bones about sowing wild oats and has cut a wide path through the female population of Buckhorn County. All this is about to come to an a screeching halt with the arrival of Ms. Elizabeth Parks, a spunky red-head bound and determined to interview Gabe for her thesis on heroism.
Not only does Gabe *not* want to talk about past heroic feats, but Ms.Parks is exactly the opposite of the kind of female he's attracted to. Her prim, proper appearance and a bit straight-laced demeanor has him trying to stay far away. But, little by little, Ms. Lizzy creeps under his skin, and before he knows it, she's touched his heart in a big way. As Gabe learns more about her and the events in her past that have made her into the woman she is today, he begins to realize that he's more attracted to her than he cares to admit. And when she asks him to teach her ways of love the last shreds of his resolve crumble as it finally dawns on him the true extent of his feelings for her. I love it when the macho man, so blithely going on his swaggering way, is felled by the one spunky woman he's sworn to avoid at all costs
The emotional heroic ending will have the reader's heartstrings aching a bit and the reader themselves left with a sense of satisfaction.
It took me longer to warm up to Gabe than Sawyer and Morgan, but not through any fault of the author. Because of age difference (me vs. Gabe), I found it harder to relate to the younger brother than I did the older ones. This is not to say he wasn't likeable. He certainly is. In a devil-may-care, kick-up-your-heels sort of way, he epitomizes the sexy, carefree young bachelor that all the women have set their sites on. That he also has a soft (hidden) side and a heart of gold only add to his attractiveness. And speaking of attractive, this book's cover is a vast improvement over the previous two.
I know the series has to end, but I'm gonna miss these guys.

    Great series

    ## Lori foster is AMAZING. I was reluctant to read this book because the hero was such a womanizer. But lori was able to write his character with honor and integrity. The brothers of course are fabulous and i enjoyed how lori intertwined their updates in this story. Worth reading indeed.

    I Also Recommend:

    Love the series!

The overview caught my eye- and the story itself caught my heart! Love the characters and the interaction with each other. They are loveable, likeable, and most of all- believable- the kind of guys you wish lived next door! An avid reader- this series is one of my FAVORITES! I enjoyed GABE so much that I read the other three within the week! My only regret is that Casey only merited a short story...If you intend to read the series, though, start with SAWYER and then follow in order- or you will know the endings of the initial books through the characters of the following ones.

    Another sexy book!

This third book of the Buckhorn Brothers series was as sexy as the first two. Ms. Foster knows how to create interesting characters in her stories. It was interesting to see that though Gabe could have any girl he wants, he chose a shy and quiet one. I like the way that each family member got to participate somehow in the story. Well worth reading.

    Gabe is a Winner!

This is the third book in the Buckhorn Brothers series by Lori Foster. He is the youngest brother and a charmer. All the ladies love him. Elizabeth (Lizzy) comes to town and she ends up taming him. It was fun to watch him fall for her and despite her initial resistance, she fell for him too. As I read the book it went fast and I continually was smiling. Gabe is a favorite for this reason, with Morgan not far behind. The epilouge involves Jordan, who will be the final brother to get his story. Lori Foster knows how to create believable and likeable characters. You should not miss one book of the Buckhorn brothers series.
