Possible Peace for our Future Generations to Come

I beleve that these books have a huge impact on the children of the world today. Williams wrote these books for a wonderful and remarkable cause, no mater what he may have done in the past and it is a blessing! This particular book has had a positive influence on many children who have turned to gangs and violence in order to feel accepted and safe. The reality is that we do not live in a perfect world, however, Williams wrote these books with the intention for children not to follow the same patterns that he did when he was young. When we teach children the truth about gangs and violence and encourage them not to turn to a gangster life. We are preventing violence, murders, and most importantly giving children the tools to have a better life that does not involve rotting behind bars. I am not here to judge or preach because I am not God and Lord knows that I am not a perfect person. The bottom line is that Williams books have helped children who come from the barrios and broken homes see that there is another option other than the 'Gangster life'. We cannot change our pasts, however, it is our decisions that will make the future. So for the families of the future: these books provide hope and possible peace for our future generations to come. We contain the power to know that we can make a difference, and not allowing anyone to tell us other wise! Sincerly, A Satisfied Reader

    Tookie is a great man!

I believe that this is a very good book that all kids should read. I also think that it is hard to admit to and ask forgiveness for a crime you didn't commit. (Check the facts.) He was murdered not rightfully killed.

    Well written

I think Stanley Tookie Williams has a great deal of insight and understanding of the under world, known as the 'Crips.' Children will benefit from his books, however, he should still be executed for the four brutal, sensless murders that he comitted in 1979 with a shotgun. This 'person' is sitting on death row breathing, eating, exercising, writing, having sex, getting letters and visits from celebs, and shot calling. On the otherhand his victims are dead and buried, never to walk again, never to breathe again, never to see their families again, and never to love again. Their families have suffered in the past and continue to suffer today and will continue to suffer in the future. Why aren't there any celebs visiting the victims families. To bad he 'Tookie' didn't write these books before he killed innocent people. The best example this person can be to young boys and girls thinking about getting into gang life, is to walk to the death chamber like a man, accept responsibility for the murders, apologize to the victims families and beg God for true forgiveness. Until then, I'm not impressed.

    What Tookie Says Matters.

Tookie Williams has a message that matters. A man of violence is now a messenger of peace. A humbled leader, repentant and redeemed, Tookie's message of making positive choices is a good one. He is a powerful voice for peace.

A must read for all parents!

This book written by the co-founder of the Crips gang is a must read for any parent. Also recommend that parents have their children read this book and the others in the 'Tookie speaks out' series. We need to stop the senseless violence of gangs.
