Skip Getting Out: I returned mine; why you should too
regretfully, Ehrman provides a politicized view to what wouldve been a very good book. Exhibit A - Venezuela. "Free and fair elections...some censorship...freedom of expression and academic expression protected by law."!!! are you SERIOuS?!!!? Ehrman, read the news recently on state owned media? His leftist views and lack of objectivity provide an untrustworthy resource. i returned mine.

"Getting Out: Your Guide to Leaving America"
I enjoyed this book tremendously. It was provocatice, idealistic, maybe not so realistic but a great read all the same. I'm more an armchair traveler than anything else, I like to dream, & even though I'm a die hard American, my younger sister has lived in Madrid, Spain, for about 11 years now & as I am always very interested in her experiences there, I was also interested in the experiences of other people in how they managed to move to, live in, & find their way in another country. I liked the personal stories provided in this book coupled with just enough practical information to whet your appetite for more. You would need more information than is given here to actually make a move, but this book is for the dreamer in us. It would make a good gift for anyone interested in traveling for any length of time.
