A Fine Book to Accompany the TV Series!

This book is great for anyone who is a fan of the Ghost Hunters TV series on SciFi. You get some insight into the people, their motives and the equipment they use to "hunt." I really enjoyed it and hope they will publish another book soon!

I've been interested in the paranormal since I was a kid and Ghost Hunters is definitely a show I do not miss on a regular basis. My interest in the subject still remains but I don't know if I'll be quite as interested in the show anymore. The book is poorly written and, in my mind at least, ruins the credibility of the people involved with the show. Hawes rants about how much individual people annoy him, about how funny he is (his practical jokes are funny, other people's are 'not professional') and how olives - yes olives - helped him with his issue of being 'sensitive' in his early years. Even without the poor writing and childish comments I would have to say that this book isn't worth your money. The majority of the investigations described are from the series, there is nothing new to anyone who has seen these episodes. The parts that do not involve the show are a little too over the top. It left a bad taste in my mouth to think that the fact that someone watching over their shoulders seemed to temper some of the claims of experiences made by the TAPS group. One of the things that made the TAPS people so interesting to me was they seemed to try and take a scientific approach to a subject that isn't usually looked at scientifically. Instead of being a group that runs around 'feeling' spirits or being possessed everywhere they go they were doing it with the purpose of finding evidence that can't be disputed. Unfortunately, after reading this book, I feel like I was wrong with my judgement.

Recommend if you like watching Ghost Hunting

This book was mainly a rehash of the TV episodes written by Jason Hawes. At the end of each chapter, Grant Wilson gave his take on what had happened. I would call it fluff reading.

    Ghost Hunting

Not what I expected, but I really enjoyed the book. It has already been read by the whole family. Will definately keep this one!! Hope Grant and Jason inspire to write another, possibly one on "how to's"...

    Excellent book.

It was very easy to read with an easy to understand glossary in the back to help clarify certain terms. A real page turner, I could hardly put it down. Strongly recommend this book for anyone interested about ghost hunting or about TAPS(The Atlantic Paranormal Society) and its founders and members.

    Ghosts in your Closet

This book is great fun for fans of the SciFi Television Show, as well as fans of the paranormal. This book is very informative and shows the lengths that the TAPS team goes to disprove hauntings before they say that the paranormal is occuring. Jason and Grant take great lengths to make the search for the paranormal a science and try to make it an accepted part of the scientific community. IF you are interested in the paranormal, if you are a skeptic, or if you have a ghost in your closet then this book is for you.

    Love Ghost Hunters

Ghost Hunters is the only program on T.V. that I look forward to each week. I'm not loyal to any other show. It's the only one scheduled to be recorded on my on my DVR on a continual basis. I think that is why I enjoyed the book so much.

Jason, Grant, and the whole TAPS group are everyday, down-to-earth people just like you,me,and the guy down the street. They are not scientists or educators. Each one is a husband, a father, and a plumber whose regular job is working for Roto Rooter. There are lot of scientists and educators out there with fancy initials at the end of their names who are only interested in claiming themselves as an expert in order to write and sell books or become regulars on the lecture circuit. They don't venture into the paranormal for any other reason except when they are asked to go to a particular location to look for the truth.

This book is fun and interesting just like the T.V. show.

Great as a follow up for the tv show

I really enjoyed this book, after watching all of the episodes and to have this book as a companion to the shows is great. It adds to the enjoyment of the whole ghost hunting adventure.

I really loved this book and read it cover to cover in two days...I just couldn't put it down. I enjoyed reading Jason and Grant's view on their cases, themselves both professionally and personally and on their team members. They are the guys next door just trying to find the 'truth' behind ghost and hauntings that still linger with us today.
