    Still a cherished memory

    My mother bought this book to read to me as a child, and I can still recall the whimsical illustrations and fanciful storytelling. Twenty five years later I am buying this book to read to my own child. I highly recommend.

    Fantastic Classic Children's Book

    Read this book as a child and was just as I remembered it, great. Love this whimsical story. Can't wait to read it to my children some day~

    Love the Jam Sandwich

    My two-year-old loves this book. We have the board format. The story is just challenging enough without being too long. She loves inspecting the different people and actions going on in the illustrations and talking about them.

    Trip down memory lane

    I remember hearing this book read on the 'Captain Kangaroo Show' when I was a little girl. I bought it for my four kids so they can create memories of their own.

    One hot summer in Itching Down...

    My mom read this book to me as a child. My sisters and I loved it so much we memorized it. I don't think I can recite the whole thing now, but I do remember the opening line. This is a very fun book, I look forward to passing it on to my nieces.
