    Unraveling the Gordian Knot

I've been a devoted sf fan for over 5 decades, and I have to say that I would rate this triology among my top 5 books (add LOR, 2001-3001, Foundation Series, the original Dune, and this trilogy). I appreciated some of the unique unraveling of this initial mystery of a 50,000 year-old 'man' discovered on the moon, and we end up with a well crafted literary work. I rated Inherit the Stars with an A+, The Gentle Giants of Ganymede as a B, and Giant's Star as an A. If you like a good blend of science and science fiction, then I highly recommend this work to you.

    Great sci-fi/mystery trilogy

This is one of my favorite trilogies. Awesome story. Thought provoking and humorous with fictional explanations for real scientific mysteries about mankind and the solar system. The only bad thing about the book was the binding. Pages fell out. So I exchanged it for another copy... and the pages fell out of the second book as well!

The most believable science fiction author I've read

Hogan takes totally unrelated facts and anomalies from astrophysics, paleontology, biology, and other disciplines, and combines them all in a matrix of completely believable science to create one of the best series I have ever had the pleasure of reading and then re-reading. I keep it handy as a permanent pleasure book. If you enjoy sound thinking, realistic stories, and clever plotting, these books are for you.

    Possibilities not fantasy.

The blend of innovative ideas with scientific fact gives you the best ride since Enders Game.
