Review of God's Little Princess Devotional Bible
I recommend this rhinestone covered God's Little Princess Devotional Bible for young girls. I first heard of Sheila Walsh when she spoke at a ladies' conference. She was so genuine in her speaking; sharing real experiences and ways God has worked in her life. She was a joy to learn from. The girls and I enjoyed reading Mrs. Walsh's God's Little Princess Devotional Bible. Emily (10 years old) sat down with it the day it arrived and started reading through it on her own. These devotions are easy to read out loud. Some features it includes are "Princess Charming" lessons for good manners, and "Beauty Secrets" to facilitate inner beauty. "Take a Bow" gives tips for role play skits and dress up ideas. There are also prayer hints, "Down In My Heart" memory verses, "My Hero" scripture promises from God, and "I adore you" praise and worship activities and song lyrics. There are many suggestions in here for special time with the "little princess" in your life. "Worthy of Love" shows ways to share love. My personal favorite section is called "Bible Princesses" which has stories of girls and ladies from the Bible, followed by encouragement to apply it to our little girl's life. God's Little Princess Devotional Bible would be a great gift for any little princess ("daughter of the greatest King who created and rules over everything!") http://brb.thomasnelson.com/ I am a member of Thomas Nelson's Book Review Blogger Program.

Can't wait to read the ending....
My 4-year-old daughter received this book - it was a gift she opened on Christmas eve. We sat by the lighted Christmas tree and fire and she settled into my lap for a good read. The illustrations are precious. The story started off beautifully - very believable for a little girl. We got to the part about 'the King' and I got intrigued as to how the writer would explain this - then the book ended. It just ENDED. No further explanation, no further story. Just a few more pages would have turned this almost good book into possibly a great book. I am sad that it didn't make it - I had high hopes. Perhaps you might want to check it out from the library first to see what I mean. :( I did give it 2 stars because of the sweet illustration and the beginnings of a good book.
