    Modern classic story. Reads easily

Modern update of Edith Wharton's House of Mirth, although Wharton's is better. Would be good for a book discussion group.

    Don't bother

This was a rather uninspired book. You know good writing when you read it and this was not it. Maybe because it's a first book...not much imagination or thought provoking content.

Not great literature, but fun to read

The novel, an homage to Edith Wharton's 'The House of Mirth,' updates the plot to the 21st century and moves the characters to the wealthier suburbs of Cleveland. While it lacks the contemplative style which has elevated Wharton to the status of one of America's great novelists, it's an amusing diversion, especially for those familiar with the Cleveland area and its particular class issues. If I were to recommend this to a book club, I'd urge them to read it along with the original.

plot would be a bit more complexed. Nonetheless, as a reader you will be intrigued.

After reading the free sample, I was hooked. Although the ending was
inevitable and predictable, the way there was a witty insight into a
world that I didn't know could even exist in Cleveland. I really liked
the characters' depictions - no one perfect, everyone flawed in some
way, whether lightly or more seriously.

    Good story.

This story is a good read with a good storyline. Would read more of this author books after reading this one. Only wish the book was longer, as I enjoy a longer book with a good plot
