Nothin But The Benjamins Advice
She did it, Ms. Bridgforth. Something finally put in simple terms for anyone to understand. I read the book and it has taught me a very valuable lesson. Some of us may have a tendency to live beyond our means but it doesn't do anything but create an illusion of ones life style. I have taken her knowledge, wisdom and understanding of financial reasoning and incorporated it into my life. She teaches you the difference between a want and a need and once you grasp this way of thinking you are on your way. If you talk to your money and appreciate it, it can and will work for you. I have recommended this book to friends and we are thinking about some serious investing for African American Women. Thank you for an excellent read. Rikki, Cincinnati, OHWas this review helpful? Straight to the Point
Glinda pulls no punches in this comprehensive, straightforward, yet caring guide to eliminating debt through proven strategies. I've read several financial planning books, all with great advice. But this books really tackles the WHY of how we get ourselves in debt. I have given 4 copies to friends and family. What could be better than starting the year off committed to healing our wallets and ourselves. Anyone will be able to benefit from this book, but SISTERS, you especially will love something that speaks to the inner you!!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I've bought Three copies so far
After I bought the book and began to read, I found myself sharing the information with friends. I ended up sending a copy to a friend in Wisconsin and a friend in Seattle (who isn't African-American, but who will definately benefit from the teachings of managing money). The book contains a lot practical advice. I applaud the author for not being afraid to put Christian beliefs (the importance of tithing) in the book as well. To me, if you don't start the road to getting 'your money straight' by going down on your knees in prayer, you will NEVER get there. 'But seek ye first the kingdom of God and all His righteousness and all His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you' (Matthew 6:33)Was this review helpful?
