    Check it out

Girl of the Moment is about Lily a normal teenage girl who wants to get in the University of her Dreams but the only thing wrong is that she can’t get a internship. But when her luck takes an interesting twist when she is the intern of the “Girl of the moment” So will she survive the summer or will she fail? I like this book because it gives a peek into the life of an upcoming star. It is very good when it comes to the trials she has to go through to please a very demanding superstar. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to know the life behind a teenage superstar.

    Predictable but entertaining

What first grabbed me was the cover art of this book. I know, I know, never judge a book by the cover..but the art was very adolescent looking....like it could have been drawn by the main character Lily in this book. This follows Lily, a bright young woman who is trying to better her chances to get into Brown university once she graduates high school in a year. She decides an internship will really help her out, but her dream job gets cancelled at the last minute forcing her to struggle to find something good to do with her summer. Enter her father, who with the help of a college buddy, get her the chance to interview for being the teen intern for Sabrina Snow, a teenage Hollywood starlet. Sabrina is in New York to do theatre and other projects and needs an intern during her time in the city.
This is where it gets predictable: Sabrina is a very stuck up, self absorbed woman who gets what she wants, but never really seems to like what she gets. Lily is forced to go through so much trying to keep up with Sabrina and her manager, and Sabrina's hot as can be boyfriend. But when Lily tries to befriend a fan with serious problems at home, her fate takes a wrong turn and she is let go with a few days left in the internship. Its this act of trying to help a fan that struck me most. Lily tries to make this fan see that the bullying and taunting at school should not make her shrink away, but she should push back and show them she isn't shying away. I think it struck me because there is a big movement among teens right now to make bullying stop. This was written in 2007 and yet, its still a topic of discussion in 2011. Kinda sad. This book is still well written and you really do feel caught up in the tornado of Sabrina's existence, but I feel glad I am not in it.

    The greatest book ever

This book is phenominal. It's about a girl who had many difficulities in pampering a stuck up pop star, while she does that she finds a seprating between her best friend, a maybe true love,a promise with a child, and many ups and downs with Sabrina(The star). The way the main character sloves her problem is so interesting. You can see the pain she sufferes, and the ending is like-WHOA! It's unbeliveable. If this review does not interest you, jus read the book. Get up to the part she meets sabrina, then you will love it.

Lily gave up her regular summer of soccer camp. Her final summer before her senior year. Why would she do that? Well, if she wanted to get into her college of choice, Brown University, she seriously needed an internship to make her stand out in her college applications.

Lily has an internship lined up at a Manhattan art museum and it will look fabulous when she applies. Except it falls through. No soccer camp (which is where her best friend and potential boyfriend are) and no internship. No Brown University.

Well, connections come through and she ends up being an intern for "Sabrina Snow." (She can't tell readers the real identity of this famous teenage star so we have to imagine her as someone like Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton). Lily's luck seems to be in her favor. She gets to hang out with this famous teenager, go to super parties, and shop at exclusive stores. But it isn't that easy. Sabrina's manager wants Lily to call him if Sabrina's behavior is negative, harmful, or questionable. Sabrina wants Lily to assist her with everything and to not get in her way. What's a girl to do?

Lily learns a great deal about Sabrina, celebrity life, and herself. This is a fun book by new author, Lizabeth Zindel. It's full of dramedy, pop culture, and provides an insider look into a world that seems so glamorous. Or is the grass just greener? Read GIRL OF THE MOMENT to find out.

    I really liked this book!

As the title says, I really liked this book. The main character had a certain amount of depth to her, and it doesn't end in the way that is expected. The only problem that I can detect is that some of the characters are slightly one- sided. I highly recommend this book.

    Lily's Life Rocks!

I know that I should have written this review ages ago, but whatever. I didn't get to it, so I'm gonna do it now. All right, here goes nothing: I LOVED THIS BOOK! Exactly eight months and ten days ago, I read this book and fell immediately in love with it. I picked it up at BookHampton in East Hampton, thinking it was going to be a really bad, cheesy book, but I picked it up, and totally enjoyed it. I finished all 283 pages in exactly 1 hour, eight minutes, and 43.7 seconds. I know it's weird, but I like to record how long it takes me to read books. Anyway, I thought the book was extremely funny and entertaining. Lizabeth Zindel's writing technique is really quite amazing, making herr my ALL-TIME FAVORITE AUTHOR EVER! I am also lucky enough to attend an awesome school, and we actually had Lizabeth Zindel visit us during our annual book fair. In fact, she met us, and some of us got to speak with her. She even signed my book, 'What a fabulous name you have!' since the name of her protagonist is Lily. Overall, it was an amazing experience, meeting my favorite author, and I will never forget how nice Lizabeth Zindel really is!

    disappointing...

I didn't really like this book that much. I thought it was going to be really good, but the storyline is thin, and not completely believable. It really annoyed me in the end when Lily wouldn't give Sabrina the tickets and just drove off with them... that was stupid.

    I really enjoyed it!!!

I love the characters. They remind me so much of my own friends and how they talk to each other. It also has inspired me to search out an internship for next summer! I hope there's a sequel. I read the book in two days 'cause it was hard to put down.

    Fantastic!!

One look at this book, and you would think that it is another one of those shallow, girl magically becomes a celeb book. But it isn't. Lily, the main character, is really a fantastic role model. I love how she cares for others around her, and sees the faults in the starlet she's interning for. This book displays how Hollywood isn't all it's cracked up to be, and that whatever you want, you can't have.
