Met Home Fans Will Love 'Glamour'
Metropolitan Home's Glamour/Making It Modern is indeed glamorous and modern. I am a big fan of MH and the book is a good compilation of interiors that have appeared in the magazine recently. True to MH's mission, the photos are all of contemporary settings but there is nonetheless quite a variety of looks. The photography is beautiful; the layout is well organized, although my personal preference is to view an entire house at one go, to see how the design is carried throughout, rather than to group by Concepts, Objects and Rooms, as this book does. It's not a "how to" book, so there's not much text, but that's fine by me as I prefer interior design books that are filled mostly with photographs. Although at 240 pages it's not small, I only wish it were a bigger book!
