Global Awakening: New Science and the 21st century is a seminal

Global Awakening: New Science and the 21st century is a seminal work for understanding where we have come from, where we are now and where we are headed as a species.  It was incredibly well researched over a 15 year period and encompasses the works of some of the great minds throughout time and what they have to say about where we are heading as a species.  I highly recommend this book and think it should be in every library in the country.  There is also a very interesting back story in the life of the author which has brought him to this point in time, which makes the book even more powerful... Read it, you won't be sorry....

Have you ever felt for a second that something was just not righ

Have you ever felt for a second that something was just not right? That the history you’re being taught has been skewed and altered? Have you ever found yourself considering why history has painted some men as messiahs and others demons? Do you find yourself pondering whether or not our time will ever redeem itself? I have found myself asking these questions and I have found many of the answers I have been looking for in Global Awakening. Michael Schacker illuminates the parts of history often left out from texts. The parts of history that happened alongside the history we are taught in our schools. A history that once considered makes us realize that the problems of the present are by no means novel when the full historical context is considered. Mr. Schacker by revealing to us the full picture shows us a way out, a way to make our lives better, a way to save humanity and assure us of a future.

Had you told me there would be a book that included the followin

Had you told me there would be a book that included the following list of my personal favorite people on the planet: that they would somehow be interconnected and that they all had elements vital to the life of our planet, I probably would have said "you're nuts". How about: Goethe, Kant, Ken Wilbur, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Galileo, Copernicus, Voltaire, Socrates, Darwin, Henry Bergson, William James, Carl Jung, Walt Whitman William Blake, Einstein, John Muir, Gandhi, the Wright Brothers, James Dean, Jack Kerouac, Bob Dylan & T. S. Eliot—and more-- all rolled into one gigantic orchestra, "in tune" with no missing beats. It all makes sense and this book is a beautiful “symphony” of inspiration and holistic thinking.
Not since finding Howard Zinn's "A peoples history of the united states"…which I found in a yard sale, have I read anything that CHANGED so profoundly the WAY I THINK. How I wish EVERYONE who grew up BEING TOLD LIES, as I did, would stumble onto this book by Michael Schacker. It is like discovering our ENTIRE world history—or at least the most important missing pieces in one basic, as Thoreau would have it: "voluntarily simple", presentation. How I wish I had this book in front of me as a young man. This book answers many of those questions about our past and where we are going: UNBELIEVABLY…. it has a happy ending, but you’ll have to read it to find out!
