    Great book!

Instead of a direct autobiography, what Stacey Edgar has written is a manifesto for helping women worldwide. She let's the people that are doing the producing tell the story as she sees it through her eyes. This is a really great way to get across her beliefs and ideas and it makes for a great read! Highly recommended for everyone!

    Amazing, Entertaining, Inspirational, Educational!

Stacey is living proof that one woman really can make a difference, especially with the help of her girlfriends both known and unknown! I stayed up most of the night several nights in a row absorbing the stories of women who have been able to lift themselves and their families out of poverty because of the connection to other women who care. Just over one year ago, I launched my own women's empowerment business, and early on I had the good fortune to meet Stacey, who has become my mentor and my hero. Stacey has always been an "open book" sharing her wealth of knowledge gained from rolling up her sleeves and jumping into the trenches with enthusiasm and tenacity. I couldn't wait for her book to come out, so I could learn even more about how she does so much good for women in need, and true to form, she lays it all out for anyone to copy. If you have an interest in helping your less fortunate girlfriends at home and around the world, this book will get you off your couch and into action! The ending chapter, Afterward: And Beyond, lays out all the resources you need to follow a passion to help women work their way out of poverty. If you belong to a book club, this book will provide inspiration to your group in understanding that we can make a difference in a world that seems so broken beyond repair. By something as simple as changing our shopping habits. Those of us who have the means to purchase a book, the education to read it, and the luxury of time to choose to read, share a collective responsibility to say "yes" to those internal urges to share our wealth with those less fortunate. Trust me, saying "yes" will bless you as much or more as the people you are helping!

A Love Letter to Women of the World

Stacey's stories made me cry and laugh, and think how fortunate I (and my kids) have truly been to have fresh water, plentiful food, and live in a society where I am given opportunities. The adversity that the women artisans face is heartbreaking, and it is absolutely breathtaking that they never give up. Thank you Stacey for giving these women, not a hand out, but a hand up....and for telling their stories with such warmth and caring. There, but for the grace of God, go us all.
