I picked up this book after reading about it in a recent issue of Outside Magazine and loved descriptions of some of the hundred and twenty countries that the author Michael Clinton has traveled to. The one thing that I did feel the book could use more of is background information. If the author writes another book , I would welcome more stories and tips from his earlier travels after his college euro trip but before he point where he was far enough in his career that travel costs and amount of vacation time were not as much of a constraint. Also, more context as to who the people were in his travel group would be great. I was not sure if he met most of them in a travel club he had joined or if it was a group of friends he had made who also happened to love to and have time to travel as much as he didOverall, the book made me decide to start planning a trip and not put off adding countries to my list. I am nowhere near having a hundred or even ten countries checked off my list but one has to start somewhere.
