God's Double Agent by Bob Fu is the exciting memoir of a man who grew up under the Communist regimen, became a Christian and evangelist and finally escaped from China and dedicated his life the organization he established called ChinaAid to help other Christians and political dissidents being persecuted by the Chinese government.

This is a very entertaining  story and also one that reminds us of the freedoms we take for granted in this country.  It surprised me how willing many of these people are to risk their very lives for their religious beliefs and to help others with similar beliefs.  I wonder if I could be so brave under such grueling circumstances.

I received this book free through Goodreads First Reads program.

    Fabulous book

This book is a really good start for understanding the Chinese Christian experience. bob Fu gives a straight forward and easy to read account of his experiences growing up in post Mao China and provides insight into the struggles those who profess a Christian Faith experience. After reading this book, you will want to read God is Red by Liao Yiwu and Life and Death in Shanghai by Nien Cheng.

Fascinating true story of courage and strength. Bob Fu, a top student and student leader, made it his goal to support his impoverished family. However, he uncovered corruption everywhere he went. When he met Jesus Christ and turned his life over to him, everything changed. He taught communist classes by day and taught about the Truth by night. When the government caught him, he was thrown in prison. But God had other plans!

This story is riveting and will strengthen your faith. We need to know what our brothers and sisters in Christ are going through so we can pray for them. Highly recommended!
