Most people probably don't know how close we came to losing a national treasure in Fats Domino during Hurricane Katrina. But the music world certainly does, and the talent that turned out for 'Goin' Home' celebrate this still living legend. All you have to do is check the track list and see some of the names: Tom Petty, B.B. King, Elton John, Paul McCartney, Lenny Kravitz, Robert Plant, Neil Young...the list keeps going. Even John Lennon turns in a posthumous tribute! Scattered among them are names that less would recognize, but that are no less amazing. The covers run from Rock, Blues, Jazz, and Cajun to Reggae and Ska. And every track is a knock-out. This is a great two-disc set. You'd be crazy to pass it up.
