This book has a lot of history

¿Wilma and `Lois ran up to him and their eyes were filled with curiosity as he stepped out the wheel.¿ Wilma and `Lois were playing outside when their father arrived in a Cadillac. The girls were very excited as their mom went outside, the mom got mad with the dad because their Mercury was not even a year old and he sold it to get that gold Cadillac. Everybody was very excited when they heard of their new Cadillac. The dad wanted to take a trip to the South in the Cadillac. Both girls and their mom went to the South with their dad. While they were there the girls asked why were there signs that said, ¿WHITES ONLY.¿ While they were there, their dad got arrested because they thought he stole the Cadillac because they were African Americans. At the end they returned to their house and the dad sold the Cadillac and they got a different car. I liked this book because it tells me more about the life of an African American in the south. But I did not like how the white people treated the African Americans because they were not the same color. I recommend this historical fiction book called The Gold Cadillac. By Mildred D. Taylor to people who want to know more about an African- American¿s life in the South.
