It was a deck of pretty cards that were bigger than most decks which I personally like. The book was nice the meanings seemed to be right for me and I have been using tarot for years now and own 80 plus decks... I think it is good for children too!

The reason I say good for children is there is not nudity or scenes that mke you blush or you should have to hide from little eyes. The only thing I did not like is the paper of the card the rip easy and bend fast if your rough or heavy handed (like me). Maybe it was my deck and the others are stronger, I don't know. but I think that all should know that the ten of whatever group (swords, wands, cups, coins)it is not a person but whatever the group it is part of,...i.e., the five of wands is five wands where as most decks depict a scene of people in a struggling mode. the 2 of cups is two cups not to lover looking people drinking. the 2 of coins (AKA- Penticles) is just 2 peticles. so with that said the only cards with pictures are the 22 marjors and court cards. So if you like cards with photo prompts this may not be for you however the book alone would be worth it I think. The book can help with learning for beginners if not the cards. How ever you learn always let intuition be you guide and enjoy! Overall I liked it for the price I got it $13. bucks it is worth it.

    Truly Golden, classic style deck

This deck I specifically purchased for the reason that it resembles a classical European historical deck. That being said, the minors are not illustrated, nor were they at that time. The art I would describe as clear and classic. It does not attempt to be photorealistic, nor would I want this deck to be. The box is quite sturdy. The book is good size, has a good size type, and full color with meanings and picture for each card. The book is one of the first I've seen that comes with cards that has more than one spread described in it. The cards are neither too small nor too big, they seem to be just about the right size.
This is not a deck that does not attempt to pagan necessarily, it is what it is, which is a tarot deck.
The back is just as gorgeous as the front, and there is no indication on the back of top or bottom, in case you read reversals.
This deck will perhaps take a little more effort to get used to reading due to unillustrated minors. But part of its charm is that its not an instant quick and easy answer deck.
In so far as readings, the first reading I did was spot on.

    Great cards for me!

I love these cards! They say different decks work differently for different folks. These cards work great for me. I have been studying tarot for about a month and I am getting accurate readings every time!
