    I Also Recommend:

    Golf and Life

M.Scott Peck provokes the reader to evaluate every aspect of his life while keeping each aspect aligned with the game of golf.
He uses his own life and feelings as examples, and gives the reader a unique perspective of how a simple game of gold can be used to enhance the relationships in your life. Golf can teach us so much about our lives, but more importantly, our lives can teach us more about Golf.
I would recommend this to anyone, even non golfers.
Would highly recommend "Golf is Not a Game of Perfect, too.

Clearing the mind for an enjoyable round

I hadn't gotten past the 4th chapter of Dr. Peck's book before I immediately noticed a change in my golf game. Understanding that golf is a game of perfection and percentages, and that most of us weekend golfers are not perfect and don't play the percentages, enabled me to take a realistic and subsequently relaxed approach to my shot making. I turned a course I've had a hard time staying below 90 into a course I shot a very solid 83 on. My playing partners couldn't help but comment on my improved game as well as my calm demeanor. This is one golf tip I may choose to keep to myself! I highly recommend this book to anyone who wishes to get the most enjoyment out of their golf and life experiences.

    Great for Type A Personalities

Most people didn't think that I would ever hit more than 1-2 rounds of golf. However, I read the book when I was starting to learn about golf and it taught me a view of the game that one will not learn from a coach or pro/teacher. 1) Play against yourself. 2) Enjoy the game as you learn...look around at where you are playing. 3) Etc. It has made the game so much more enjoyable for me and those who play with me. I recommend it to anyone who gets frustrated with the game and embarrassed.
