    Title is SO misleading

this book was not about parents who lose their children, how to cope, how to survive it . .it was about Jesus and all of the deaths of children that happened in the bible. I bought this book in hopes of sharing it with my patients who have lost children - however, a large number of parents lose Faith early in the grieving process (they feel there must not be a God for this to happen to their children). the last thing they want to read is about God's suffering - when many of them initially blame God for the loss in the first place. EVERY page was rich with Jesus this, God that, nothing to contribute to coping skills or processing the stages of a loss as unique as the loss of a child. Waste of money.

excellent book for parents who have lost a child

I found this book shortly after my daughter was killed in an accident and found it extremely helpful in dealing with the emotions of my loss. The one-page chapters were all I could process at the time. I have purchased over a dozen copies of this book ad given them to other parents who are dealing with the death of a child.

My 18 year old son was killed - I needed God's word!

I couldn't sit down and read chapter books, I needed scripture, words to tell me what I was feeling were normal. This book has helped me in so many ways. Somewhat of a quick fix to read, put down and pick up throughout my grieving. I felt like this book could have been written for me!

Our pastor purchased this books and gave it to my husband, daugh

Our pastor purchased this books and gave it to my husband, daughter, and myself when our 14 year old Downs Syndrome passed away. He died on Tuesday, December 14, 1999. I read it through shortly after he brought it to us. I found so much comfort in it. Over the last 14 years, I have referred to it a number of times and have purchased several copies to give to others who have had to bury a child. I find it helpful and it was a blessing.
