Great.. A must read
I recently completed a run of the show as Bonna and the response to the story of these two girls was unbelievable. The Story is sweet and to the point. It's told with an understanding innocence and it tugs at your heart strings as you are whisked away to Bonna and Edna's world. You are invited to experience there joy and suffering. The book is short but it is a must read at the message will go with you thoughout your life. 'Love each other'

Bittersweet
It was touching, sweet, painful and funny. I enjoyed this book immensely. It's told from the perspective of 11 or so, year old Edna. It's a glimpse into her world--mostly her relationship with her best friend Bonna. It's a book about race relations and relationships in general. I simply loved it and want to read more stories by Lynda Barry.
