great book, and not just for photographers!

Colby, being an amazing photographer himself, wrote this book to help other photographers find their way around Google+ (which, btw, has a THRIVING photographer community). In the process, he actually wrote what I consider to simply be the definitive guide book to Google+ for ANYBODY. He deftly covers every aspect of this new service and doesn't just explain how to use it but WHY to use it.
To sum up: give Google+ a try (start by circling Colby) and use this book as your guide. You won't be disappointed.

An excellent guide about Google+ for photographers

If you are a photographer and you use social media to promote your work, you need to invest in this book. Colby Brown explains how you might best use Google+ as a networking tool, and how to build a following and a dynamic online presence. Google+ is defined in depth, starting with the general differences between social and interest networks, then moving into the specifics of Google+ (aka G+) with respect to both photography and general interaction. The book is also full of great images from Colby and other professional photographers as well as screen shots of the network so there's useful information and amazing images. Colby Brown does an excellent job of outlining the tools and tips you need to successfully network, build an online presence and become globally connected as a photographer.

    Must have for photographers

Extremely thorough overview of how to hit the ground running with Google plus as a photographer. I particularly got a lot out of Chapter 2, Building an Online Presence.
