    I am very much looking forward to trying the recipes in this boo

    I am very much looking forward to trying the recipes in this book. My 1 year old has had a terrible year. We didn't know what was wrong. He hasn't been gaining weight.  Two weeks prior to his first birthday, our Pediatrician told me that I can start giving him the "one year old foods". GREAT!!! Eggs for dinner! Immediate anaphylactic reaction. So, being a former nurse and proactive Mommy, I made an appointment with a Pediatric Allergist. Scratch tests showed allergies to eggs, wheat, soy and peanuts.  I had the Allergist send records to our Pediatrician, who tehn wrote orders for bloodwork. I just got the results today. They had called me in because they wanted to discuss it extensively with me. He is now also allergic to milk, sesame seeds, walnuts, seafood...and these are just his food allergies! He has numerous environmental allergies as well. I was reading Barbaras overview and started crying. I know how she was feeling looking into the pantry. I also have a 3 year old. She has not 1 single allergy! She has been told numerous times that she may NOT share any of her food with her baby brother. And then I have to show her his medical card, his medical bracelet and his epipens. I never thought that I would have this issue. And I pray for all the families who go through this. It's very scary. People treat food allergies like they're not anything significant. But when they're little kids and we all know kids share can be life threatening in some cases. So again, I cannot wait to try these recipes. Along with the Elecare Jr. that I was prescribed to also feed him. Thank you, Barbara!
