    Thoroughly enjoyable!!!

The Granny is the third and final book in Brendan O'Carroll's trilogy. We look into the lives of widow Agnes Brown and her seven children and find the same colorful characters that stole our hearts in The Mammy and The Chiseller's. This book is not unlike the previous of being full of action. How can this brood get into so much? One son finds himself in jail, then runs away to England. This is devastating for Agnes. Agnes' daughter is in a dying marriage and this worries Mama Agnes. Agnes is constantly faced with challenges and having to deal with them without a husband, but she manages to keep most of her brood together. Agnes still has the support of Pierre, her boyfriend of several years. She is content now that all of her children are grown and she is blessed with a grandchild. This novel demands you have tissues close-by. You will shed tears of jou and sadness. This is a wonderful trilogy and I will not forget the Browne's.

Even if you're not Irish, you'll love this book!

"The Granny" is the third book in the series. The first is "Agnes Brown" and the second is "The Chisellers". These books are funny, poignant and very well written. I have given the series of these books to many friends as gifts and they are always well received.

Great reading!!!! All three books in the series will make you laugh and cry. I cried the whole time when Agnes was dying at the end of The Granny but I loved it when she had all her children and grand kids around her at the hospital. I hope Brendan O'Carroll continues the series on Agnes Browne's children and there lives.
