I'm sorry I took so long to purchase this CD - it made me feel good all over!

I have been a Bob Segar for a very long time..I have no clue as to why I waited so long to get this CD! It is the very best of one of the best artists in the business. All of the songs have memories wrapped in them and I really enjoyed reading the history provided by Bob Segar about each of the songs.

It was great to hear all the old favorites from this cd. I had forgotten how much I liked these songs. Enjoy.

    I love Bob Seger

I really like his music and you can't get it at any of the online music services. This album is a great compilation of his music.

    Where's the Early Stuff?

Ramblin' Gamblin' Man, Heavy Music, Looking Back, Ivory, Lucifer, 2+2, East Side Story, Persecution Smith, Back in 72, Rosalie? All we get the tame Seger. It's like Seger and Capitol were so focused on not offending anybody that they deliberately negledcted, and continue to do so, his early out-of-print catalog. This guy needs an antholgy album.

    Where's Volume 2?

Besides some old 1968-1974 stuff, and the obvious titles others have mentioned as being missing, some of his biggest hits came on soundtracks that have just vanished. What about "Shakedown", "Understanding", "Living in My Heart"? This guy has, or had, a heck of a career that has been ignored by his record label and by the "Rock and Roll Hall of Fame". The "Lovin' Spoonful" are in but Seger isn't? Who's next, the "Monkees"? Seger's career has just vanished along with his early great LP's. No new material in over 8 years. Bob...come on, get off your butt and tour again, make a new album, do something...please.

ALL ABOARD ! THE SEGER - SILVER BULLET EXPRESS IS BOUND FOR YESTERDAY VIA TODAY.

Begun to roll down the tracks of the ''hard-earned success & glory'' after Mr.Bob Dylan, Mr.Van Morrison and The Rolling Stones; Mr.Bob Seger has not created as much as the aforementioned brave ''guards of rock''. But his heartfelt art has been comparable to theirs most of the time. This CD is a nice collection of his solid, mighty, beautiful and amicable songs (plus two covers) for fans who need to refresh their loyalty to him and for beginners who want to know his music. Nevertheless, almost seven years after its release, I still think that with the addition of the gorgeous hits such as ''Jody Girl'', ''The Fire Down Below'', ''Till It Shines'', ''Fire Lake'', ''Shame on the Moon'', ''American Storm'' and ''Take a Chance''; the album could have been far better than it is.
