More Fast Pace Henry Parker Action!
The Guilty, the second book in the Henry Parker series continues in the same fast pace genre, with all the twist and turns of the first book-The Mark-and then some. Henry Parker, a young reporter for a major New York city newspaper, covers the murders of prominant celebrities, chases a crazed killer on the loose and unravels an interesting twist in American History. Not only does he report on it, he is caught in the middle trying to hunt down the bad guy. This leads to a book that is fast paced and fun to read.

Like the first book, this one is exciting and gets better as the story nears the end-the mark of any good fictional writing. Henry Parker, a dedicated young reporter torn between his ex-girlfriend and his current one, leaves no rock unturned as he pursues a killer's clues through the streets of New York and New Mexico. Throw in a well researched account about Billy the Kid and the Old west, with a mad man killer in modern day New York city, and you have the making for a fun and fascinating read. I did check the accuracy of the history and it is right on the money. I like it when an author does his homework. I learned things about the Old West that I did not know much about.
Henry Parker's world of media Mongols, backstabbing journalist and hungry editors, adds spice to the story. The competition between New York's leading newspapers adds many twists and turns. This is Henry Parker's world and a cut throat world it is. The two newspapers, The Gazette and the Dispatch, are mostly likely fictional versions of the New York Post and The Daily News. Two papers that no doubt kill for top dog headlines and stories in the real world, and are well portrayed as an important part of this book.
This book moves fast and is well written. Not yet in the league of some of the more well known heavy hitters authors, Jason Pinter is an unknown that is making a name for himself. He may have a way to go, but is on my list of favorites. I loved his first book and looked forward to this one. I was not disappointed. I recommended this book for those looking for a great story, good character development, a likable main star, and a touch of US History. You will not be disappointed.

Fantastically Surprising
This book is hooking from the first until the very last page. from the moment i picked it up, by mistake by the way, i was unable to put it down. It is a fascinating book with a surplus of twists and turns that will give you whiplash. easily on of the best books i've ever read. Kudos to Jason Pinter

A great new series
I read Pinter's first book, THE MARK, in two days, and I finished this one in even less time. Henry Parker is a great new character, and this is a story that'll keep you turning pages while wondering just how much of the conspiracy hinted at is actually real (I found myself doing some serious googling after I finished it). The ending is a bit of a shocker, and I wonder how it will play out in the next Parker thriller. A terrific new series, and if I may say so even better than the first.

Excellent read
I loved this book. I couldn,t put it down. It was a great sequel to 'The Mark', I can't wait for the third book featuring Henry Parker. Jason Pinter is now one of my favorite authors.
