The great start  of a great comic, and a great way to support a wonderful series! The most compelling part of the first volume- besides the story- is how the style develops more as she starts her journey of growth.
Lovely art, and a great and interesting story. Though in the first volume it seems ify- making you want to read more to find out how this will develop or if it'll harm itself and ruin it's own story.
I can't say much more without spoiling the story, but I'd recommend reading it for sure.

    This is an awesome story

This is a web comic compilation. If you have not yet read it, I would highly suggest going over to http://www.gunnerkrigg.com and reading it before you purchase this book.

Gunnerkrigg Court is a story about a young girl and her adventures through an increasingly strange school. It has humor, mystery, and some somberness. It is a science-fantasy that focuses more and more and the clash between the school (science) and the forest surrounding it (a world of fantasy).

If you like the comic, I would greatly recommend purchasing this book to support the creator of Gunnerkrigg Court!
