Worth it.
the humans survived the first detonation of the halo array, plus the book
sheds some light on the famous spartan mark 1's. The book also has a comprehensive history on the Covenant, The forerunners, And the humans it
also has some brief information on the possible link between humans and forerunners. The book does an incredibly good job at making the Halo uni-
verse seem real. All in all if your a die hard Halo fan i recommend you c-
heck this out. Its also a great gift for a Halo fan. Any Halo fan will get
a kick out of this book it goes so far as to even show the individual rou-
nds for ever gun. A great guide, Highly recommended and a good achievement
for Mr. Buckell.Show Less

Very Disappointing
Often fails to include supplementary information that Bungie themselves provided, notably from the Halo 3 Legendary Edition Bestiary. Also lacks anything pertaining to the upcoming Halo: Reach, the recent Halo Evolutions book, or ongoing Halo Legends anime compilation. You can find more detailed and consistent information for free on any number of Halo fansites. Save your money.Show Less

The halo encyclopedia is the first comprehensive guide to bungie studios award winning Halo universe. The book reveals information previously only available in the top secret halo story bible. If you are a die hard Halo fan this is a great book, though some of the information you may already know I gaurantee that there is some dont. For instance ever wonder who the two mysterious foreunners conversing on the halo 3 terminals were? this book holds the answer. It also answers age old questions like how the

Very Disappointing
A keen eye will spot many typos, errors with already-established canon, and contradictions from one passage to another. Much of it is redundant and you will be reading the same information two or three times in different sections, as if they were desperate to pad out the book. And while the illustrations are big and beautiful, several significant entries lack an accompanying illustration to provide context.

DISAPPOINTING OF B&N COM!!!!
There is no review about the product because I still don't have the book yet. It was suppose to be my son's Valentine gift...I order it back in February 9th, paid for and everything thinking that there will be enough time to get it by the 14th. After all that I only had an email that said the estimated arrival of the book won't be until March 26th!!! I am disgusted, I would have canceled the order but since there was gift card involved, there's probably more trouble than it already is. I would just never recommend anybody to order it from them and I never will!!

Great for the Halo Collector and Fan
I bought this book for my son who is 10 and cannot play the M games. This was a great substitute, he loves reading about the character's armor and weapons and about the different scenery and battle lands. He also gets to buy the mini-figures and Mega Blocks Halo toys.

What a great book!!!
If your a lover of Halo games and even if you are not this is a fantastic book. The information about the characters is great. Now my kids know how big the characters are and everthing about them. The pictures are great (very colourful) and there is so much information. My kids love it. Every time they play the game the book comes out and they look for new things to read about. I recomend this book to anyone who is a fan. It is definately worth it !!!!
