Interesting twist on a Dwarven keep
When I purchased this accessory for 4e, I was expecting to find a typical dwarven keep but this is anything but that. The keep is based around an ancient dwarven necropolis that has been converted to a living and breathing town since the downfall of the human empire in the Nentir Valley 100 years ago.
There are many interesting and varying NPCs created for use- some dwarven, some other races, and even some are undead- and the end of the supplement has many adventure ideas. The earlier chapters deal with the history of Hammerfast, the surrounding area, and then a very good description of the town as it is today.
The only thing I was disappointed in was the black and white maps on the inside front and back covers. But there is definitely a very nice color map insert for player use, one side being a map of the town and the other side of buildings. There is plenty of information here that is useful for the novice and/or experienced DM. The product can easily be dropped in into any campaign and there is still plenty of room for the DM to add their own flavor if they so choose.1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.
