Watch the DVD
As with both his books (Happiest Baby and Happiest Toddler), the text seemed very repetitive. Plus the techniques he teaches are best understood through observation. Check the dvd out from your local library. I have used his techniques on babies and toddlers and give him 5 stars for coming up with some very logical and useful tools.

helpful resource for parents
A helpful tool for parents seeking effective strategies for dealing with their children. As a social worker I often suggest this book to clients who are looking for good parenting books.

First day but big success
I have watched the video from the library and tried it on my three-year-old the next day and it seems to have made a big impact. It is kind of fun in fact for both of us. Of course I have yet to test it on a BIG tantrum but I can see it helping for sure. If I see big improvement in the next week I will totally buy the book and give it at baby showers as well. Try the baby one too, we are expecting and I wish we had heard of this before our first child, it has helped with my friends newborn and she is the one that told me about these books.

I bought this book for two reasons. One, a lot of people recomme
I bought this book for two reasons. One, a lot of people recommended it, and two, I loved his book The Happiest Baby on the Block. But where Happiest Baby I think works for almost any baby (I have yet to meet a parent who used his methods on their infants without success), I am not convinced that this does. And I think that's largely because by the time kids hit toddlerhood, they have developed their own personality and you and they have developed your own unique relationship. That said, I think many of his ideas are useful and are tools to add to your tool box from which to make a plan that is personalized to suit your child and your family. I just don't think there can be one solution/method that is going to work for every child and every family. So I would definitely recommend this book, but with that caveat.

Unhelpful and downright silly
This book is silly and unhelpful. Some of the things suggested are so strange and just taught my kid to whine even more than he did. Waste of time and money.
