Not great!
This is the 3rd in the series that I read. The meddling family was a bit too much. I wanted to slap Kevin's sisters!

Good to be back
I am reading Harbor Lights as a write this. This is the 3rd in the series and is a relaxing, good read. The O'Brien family is always interesting. They have a wonderful way of working together to help each other in their daily lives. Woods writing flows with the story.

Excellent read for the romantic and anyone with a meddling a fa
Excellent read for the romantic and anyone with a meddling a family or not. I got so absorbed I ended up reading this novel within twelve hours (and no I am not a speed reader) taking only time out for dinner, bathroom breaks and five hours of sleep. Ended up completing this novel over morning coffee and toast as didn't want totake time for a more extended breakfast. My only regret is I did not start with the first of the series but have no problem going back to the first to catch up.

Aga..Chesapeake shores would be a great place to visit
Again, another great book in the series. Life, at times, seems so complicated for the O'Briens, yet, with all the twist and turns they always manage to find happiness for themselves.

Another hit for Woods!
This was another wonderful story about the family. I felt as though I'd become a part of the clan. This series is great! I will re-read it again and again.

Highly Recommended - you must check out the complete series.
WOW!! Kevin sure has a lot to contend with, but in the end it turns out for the best. He is a bit stubborn like his Dad, but that is what makes these series so interesting. They are stories that most people can relate to.

Harbor Lights
I really liked this book as part of the series. Unfortunately I read #1-3-2 so I was a little out of sinc but I couldn't really tell. I really enjoyed the book as I did the other two. Are there going to be other boks since this family seems a little "undone"?

Quick and easy reading
A must read series - as an individual book it is great but the series as a whole was wonderful and would have liked a dozen more in the series.

Time to Heal and Move On!
Kevin O'Brien has returned to the beloved O'Brien clan with his son Davy, devastated from his wife's death while serving in the Army in Iraq. He just wants to be left alone to freely and fully grieve. His family honors his needs for a while, but then they realize he has a son who needs him. In other words, he needs to slowly join the living in spite of and through his grief. A large, daunting task to be sure! But the O'Brien clan is up to the task as well.

At the same time young Shanna Carlyle has arrived in Chesapeake Bay and is about to open her dream store, a place where the locals and tourists can buy books, games, small toys and puzzles, as well as have a place to have a cup of coffee while they relax and browse through the merchandise. She's got an accounting background to put to good use here but she's also hoping to escape a searingly painful past that she views as damaged.
The day comes when Kevin is finally talked into visiting his sister who owns the store next to Shanna. Finding her shop closed, he stops by and thus begins one of the most cautious, intriguing and endearing romances a reader could imagine. Both are initially ultra-gun shy about calling their relationship anything more than a casual friendship, but to other eyes the sparks are flying whenever they are together.
You'll meet some other fascinating characters, all of whom are desperately trying to matchmake this burgeoning relationship but who have issues of their own that frequently cause conflict between Kevin and Shanna. Is there hope for the couple? What is it that each character needs to face and admit before they can even dream of more than the frightened and grief-filled moments they suffer? Be warned; this sounds complex and heavy but it's definitely not so. Sherryl Woods has a knack of putting just enough tension into a story and then relieving it graciously and beautifully with a scene where the bonds between all of these characters begins to heal and strengthens.
The fictional tale also turns to a realistic, very important environmental issue as well, done lightly but with significant focus!
Harbor Lights is a glorious, enchanting, light-hearted, intriguing and precious story written by an author who just keeps improving with time! Wonderful story to be cherished by readers in any time of the year!

Great ending to a great series
After having read the first 2 books in this series, I thought I had things figured out for the O'Neills. Not so much. I love how Sherryl writes in a way that makes me feel like one of her characters. I like to be able to relate to situations proposed by authors. In this series, Sherrly allowed me to become part of the family by her continuation of a story about the family and it's coming together. As with many, family situations rarely are a snapshot of perfection. This pens true for this family, except for how the differences become a means of support for each person.

I was totally enamored with each book in the series and this last one proved to be a fabulous finale. -
Fans will enjoy the latest visit to Chesapeake Shores.
Over a year ago the military informed former army medic Kevin O'Neill that his wife Georgia also a medic was killed in Iraq. Devastated but knowing he became a single dad, the civilian paramedic and his two year old son Davy leave Arlington, Virginia to move back to his hometown, Chesapeake Shores, so his family especially his grandma can help him raise his child.----------

Recently divorced Shanna Carlyle also moves to Chesapeake Shores where she opens up a bookstore on Main Street. When they meet each is attracted to the other, but she still reels from her divorce from alcoholic Greg though more because of who she had to leave behind; and he from his wife's death. Still his family starting with the lethal combo of his grandma and son along with other townsfolk begin a matchmaking campaign to pair up the reluctant ones. However, as they fall in love, her secret abusive past surfaces with the loved one she left behind arriving in town and Kevin's trust leaving.-----------
The third Chesapeake Shores romance (see THE INN AT EAGLE POINT and FLOWERS ON MAIN) is a deep tale starring two strong lead characters and a deep support cast. The story line is fast-paced but driven by Shanna and Kevin as neither is ready for a relationship as both have issues; he feels guilt for his attraction and she has not forgotten the cost of leaving her marriage. Fans will enjoy the latest visit to Chesapeake Shores.------------
