AVA LORE SWEEPS GRAMMIES!
Since the context of this story is rock music I thought I'd write this in pseudo-Grammy format. Ava wins:
Best title for a fictional rock band (check out the poem Ozymandius - way cool!)
Best character-driven story - though the plot is terrific I love the characters and the way they are built. Lore doesn't use hammers here. The writing is smart, subtle, nuanced. Delightful!
Best female lead - Rebecca is clever, funny, neurotic with an extremely small measure of self-esteem which grows with the story.
Best use of an ass for male lead - yeah, Kent is a total ass, but I'm in love. As Rebecca says, "(He) had me at the sexual harassment."
Best sensual scenes - They are creative and heartfelt. None of the oh so typical mechanical tab A into slot B for Ms. Lore.
Best rock novel - maybe best novel overall I've read this year
Grammy sweep for Ava Lore! I've this book 3 times and I lol every time. Enjoy!!

This was my first Ava lore read. I truly enjoyed the cadence of the story and witty lead character. Fantastic! The heat was nothing to sneeze at either but wasnt overwhelming to the story. More like the perfect balance of sexy and smart. New fan of the series.
