A great read for any sports fan, Carolina fan or not.

I did not expect to like this book as much as I did. I am a huge Carolina fan and that is what initially drew me to this book. I strongly recommend it. Roy Williams has one of those personalities you can't help but love and this book shows that. He shared personal stories that mad me cry at times, and at times I couldn't help but laugh. He truly is an inspiration and you really get in insight of the hard work it took to get him where he is now and how he uses his experiences to touch others.

    Outstanding!

This book is one that anybody who loves sports, is in a position of leadership, or wants to be a better leader should read. If you have always been a fan of Roy Williams' teams this is a nice insight into the man's life. I can't recommend this any stronger! Very, very, very good and compelling!

Nice gift to give for the sports fan in your life!

My husband to be in a few months is a HUGE North Carolina Tarheels fan and thinks a lot of Coach Roy Williams. I heard about his recent book and thought it would be a great Christmas gift. What made this gift so special? Roy Williams was having a book signing at Barnes & Noble in Durham, NC and my co-worker (who is from Kansas - ironic?) suggested I get the gift signed which my future husband thought it was the best gift ever :-) He read the book over the next week (which he never does) and told me that it was a look into Coach Williams' life on and off the court and how he gives 100% each and every day. Enjoy!

    The Title Says It All

First of all, I'm biased. I'm a UNC grad and big basketball fan. But I'm a bigger fan of Roy Williams. This book confirms everything I always believed about Roy...that he's a great coach, loving father and devoted husband. What surprised me are the numerous obstacles he had to overcome to achieve his success. This book reveals his folksy humor, his love of family and home and the ideals that make him a man of great character. Williams' commitment to his dream is exemplified by the hard work he put in to achieve it.

It's a quick read. You do NOT have to be an "x's and o's" fan of basketball to understand and enjoy Hard Work. Now that Tiger Woods has fallen from the pedestal upon which his adoring public misguidedly placed him, Roy Williams can sit comfortably there. However, I'm sure he would not agree that he belongs perched higher than the rest of us, because ultimately, he's just a good ol' boy who continues to work harder than 99 percent of the rest of us.

If you're looking for inspiration, read Hard Work!

Hard Work is a great read!

Hard Work gives an intimate look into the life and career of one of America's top basketball coaches. It is enlightening as well as entertaining and I couldn't put it down once I began reading. It is a must read for all coaches.
