Achingly Beautiful

You must read this. It only takes about 45 minutes and leaves a lasting impression. The love and compassion mixed with horror and sacrifice is enticing. Excellent read, totally worth the $2.

let me just first say I loved her other novels. I read each one in one day. There are times where dialogue would have been nice but instead it was just lacking emotion. It was lacking everything. I understand that is how Tabitha was in the first book but I felt like this was just slapped together with no real intent on it.

    Fills in blanks

"Hare Moon" is a short story which is a lovely little codicil to Carrie Ryan's trilogy of The Forest of Hands and Teeth. In it, we learn the fascinating back story of one of the very important characters in the first book. It seems to me that this story would best be read after reading at least the first two books in the trilogy. That's when I read it, and found it the perfect bridge into the last novel in the series. Honestly, I hope Ryan will continue to refine upon her world "after the Return" with pieces like this if not even more full sized novels. Highly recommended!
