    Be careful

Overall this is a set with great quality (of course, the books are indescribably amazing). However, the books, being paperback are easily bent and are tightly crammed in the box so exactness is needed in depositing the books into their case. I was careless and accidentally bent the cover of my copy of the sixth book. Whoops. Please learn from my mistakes. Highly recommended, all the same.

    more from this reviewer

    Good to Grow Up With

I read the series on a challenge from a friend who assured me that the series was not for children. I was impressed with the books overall but I was quite stunned by the later violence and darkness of the last few books. I suspect that the books were written with the original readers in mind. If you bought these books when they came out you would have 'grown up' with them and therefore, the later books would be 'age appropriate'. If you are buying these books for a young adult or older child, you should read them yourself to make sure they are age appropriate. I don't feel the later ones are appropriate for younger ages regardless of how popular they are. Otherwise, they are clever and fairly well written.

    Wonderful for all ages

I finally got around to reading this series of books and was surprised how much I enjoyed them. Being well beyond the "young" reader age, I didn't think they would be interesting. But recommended by my daughter, I found I loved them (just as she said). Great read.

    Great series

Harry Potter is one of the best series of books I've ever read. Granted, the first few seem kiddish, but as the books progress, so do the characters and the themes become truly adult. JK Rowling does a great job of plot weaving that keeps her readers guessing.

    DRAGONS: LEXICON TRIUMVIRATE

If you liked Harry Potter, you will love Dragons: Lexicon Triumvirate. It's a book about cyborg dragons fighting in the middle ages.
