A self-help book with REAL ideas

WOW, a self-help book that doesn¿t preach or sermonize but actually gives you practical and scientific information on how to achieve your goals and dreams. I didn¿t want to stop listening to Mr. Assaraf as he read his own work. Who better to read your work than the person who wrote it! He tells us how to achieve what we want by showing us where he came from and how he managed to ¿get there¿. He did not come from wealth or power. He was a ¿street kid¿ and did get into trouble. He begins by telling us about how he listened to the men who had the power and wealth and learning from them --- thus the scientific information --- if it works for them, it can work for me. He admits that he is divorced but has managed to stay friends with his ex-wife. He is remarried and happy and has two GREAT kids. All in all, he is just an average Joe that got what he wanted by working hard and like other self-help books, Mr. Assaraf tells you to use your mind but to also use the Power of Nature¿s Laws. What are they? Oh, you need to listen to the book to get that information. I wouldn¿t want to give everything away!

Learn from someone who has actually done it

I read the first edition and it changed my life forever. Now, with the two new chapters on Your Powerful Brain and The Laws of Earning Money, it's destined to become a classic, like Think and Grow Rich. John writes in an easy to understand way, and shares information about our minds and the world that we live in and how to get what we want in a way that allows you to actually consider that maybe, just maybe you too, CAN have it all. If he can go from a 17 y.o. drop-out to become a mega-successful entrepreneur and all around great human being, SO CAN you. If you are willing to do the work like he was. There's the rub...

One of the Best Personal Growth books around

John's Book, Having it All, is simply an amazing piece of work. While the Secret had introduced us all to the Law of Attraction, John takes it further by teaching us of the 7 Natural Laws of the Universe, going far beyond just the Law of Attraction. As he teaches the principles behind these laws he gives very simple instructions on how to begin applying the laws to your life. His goal setting procedure for each area of your life is fantastic. Imagine having someone take you by the hand to help you evaluate where you stand in your health (both mental and physical), spirituality, relationships (significant other, friends AND family), finances, and career/business, and THEN helping you lay out your goals in each of those areas. Well, now that you've imagined, visualized, and felt it, now go grab John's book because that is exactly what it will do for you! What I like the most about John's materials and goal setting procedures is that he helps you understand why they work, and why other things don't work! His studies into neuroscience over the last 25 years are clear in this book as he teaches us about the brain and how it works, and helps us overcome our negative thoughts, and replace them with positive ones. If you're looking for a book to help change your life, then this is it. By following the principles in this book my life has absolutely been changed and it is so exciting! So here's to Having it All!!

    more from this reviewer

    I Also Recommend:

You will learn and appreciate more from experiencing this book!

Reading this book was a pleasant surprise as it is my first exposure to the writings of John Assaraf. His style is very easy, smooth, across the kitchen table, and generous without hype.

"Having It All" is 217 pages long, broken down into three parts containing 12 well organized chapters. I found his information well balanced with personal insight, stories of other people's experiences, and grassroots knowledge. I particularly appreciated his personal background as a "street kid," proving to me he walks the talk in all areas. I'm sure this is why he is featured in "The Secret."

John plainly guides you through the process to determine and achieve your life's goals and dreams with some challenging and thought provoking exercises. As with any good book on personal development, you get out of it what you put into it.

"Having It All" starts out with authority in that Bob Proctor writes the Forward and has personal knowledge of John in his development of a long lasting successful lifestyle. i recommend this book to anyone on a journey of personal development who would like to relax and enjoy reading a good book while learning about yourself at the same time.
