Elizabeth Peters & the Emersons are the best

I have been waiting for a year for this installment of the Emerson family and it has fully met all my expectations. I can't wait for the next installment.

    Emerson Family at Its Best

This is the finest, most complex Peabody novel. The ending is shining, the dialogue flawless. I dare say there was not a generic moment or empty emotion on any page. Fulfilling and worthy read. But I highly recommend that a newcomer to Peters go back and spend time with the old novels before venturing into 'Thunder.' This novel has the power it does because of the extensive backdrop of the preceeding series. Don't cheat yourself the rewards that are only possible by being well read in the previous adventures (especially the last few).

    Thoroughly Satisfying!

After Falcon, I felt as though the last page read 'To Be Continued'. Thunder wraps up all of the loose ends. Thank you!

    A thankful fan

I love Elizabeth Peters, and the Emerson clan. Reading about their adventures, and the history of the times they lived threw, and uncovered from the accent tombs. Is very helpful in understanding a part of that world history. I just got her lates, and I know I'll be upset when I finish. But the adventure I have while reading is wirth the wait

    Finally...some closure

As a lifelong Peters fan, I found myself hyperventilating when I saw this newest installment sitting by the door, and waiting for me. I was heartbroken over the last book's ending, and have been anticipating the next chapter in Peabody's, Emerson's, Ramses' and Nefret's adventures. I was not disappointed. In fact, I so pleased with this story, I've read the ending more times than I can count, and I bought the book a mere two days ago. Peters brings some closure to the storylines that were left hanging. Her writing is snappy, droll and captivating. He Shall Thunder in the Sky was exactly what I'd been waiting for.

Finally the sequel to Falcon is here!!!!

Elizabeth Peters delivers a good plot, lots of action and of course a satisfactory resolution to the Nefret-Ramses love story. Thrilled to see that the ladies saved the day at the end!!!

Can¿t wait for the next one!

The only bad part about the book is that, like the rest of the series, I enjoyed it so much that I read it in two days; now we probably have to wait a year for the next one! Although some loose ends were tied up, I can¿t see this as any kind of a conclusion¿ it¿s another beginning, and I hope all the Emersons will be fodder for many more books in the series!
