I read this book on the advice of a friend to help with my issues with depression and the stress load I carry with issues with my teenage daughter. I read through it and was ultimately fascinated with all the scientific evidence that backs up this view of how stress effects us mentally and physically. I do not have a physical illness, but after about a week, my daughter pointed out in a therapy session that she has noticed a difference in me- I seem better. Nice to hear since she usually says she hates me. I noticed a difference in myself after about 3 weeks. I am able to get through the day without crying. I have a new view on the trials that I face with my children and husband. I have a desire to release the pain and anger that I carried for so long. I can feel it slipping away. When I do the "Healing Code" I can feel the energy flowing from my fingers- amazing. I didn't give 5 stars because The website that is attached to the book for in depth analysis of your own stress issues is not easy to navigate and needs some tweeking.

The Healing Code by Dr. Alex Lloyd with Dr. Ben Johnson helps to instruct individuals on how to heal one's self on a cellular memory level. Both doctor's share their experiences, experiments and hypothesis on using the healing codes to aid and repair the issues inside of ourselves that we are unable to comprehend. They show the reader in an easy to understand format when dealing with the subjects of cellular memories, psychology, philosophy and spirituality.

Dr. Lloyd's wife, Tracey, now Hope, was a severe manic depressive whose life was crumbling around her. After pouring much time, effort and money into her treatment, Dr. Lloyd has an epiphany while on an airplane, after talking to his distraught wife on the phone. He comes to realize that in order to heal our bodies we need to look at ourselves in a different perspective. We need to look at the things that have affected us in our lives, that have been now buried in our sub-conscious, being protected from us by our hearts. Dr. Lloyd states that our suppressed memories are the things that lay at the root of everything, from emotional to physical to spiritual states of ourselves, and in order to heal ourselves, we need to heal those memories.

Dr. Lloyd along with Dr. Johnson show you how to heal yourself by using light energy to project loving, healing thoughts into the areas of your life that leave you feeling stressed. The hypothesis is, you take a negative feeling or situation and rate it on a scale of 1 to 10. You place that picture in your mind and while positioning your hands to certain key points and imagining loving light filtering through your fingers into these centers and projecting loving and caring thoughts, emotions and memories, you will be able to heal the source of all the things that are bothering you. There are testimonies from people, all over the world, who have claimed miraculous healing while using these codes. Some people have insisted that they received instantaneous results, while others say that it could take longer, depending on the issue you are dealing with.

I, myself, have been using them for almost a week. I don't know if I see any difference in myself but I am willing to give it a bit longer. I suggest keeping a journal before you start the codes and take all the issues in your life, be honest with yourself, and rate it on a scale of 1 to 10. Then bring it out every few weeks and compare those same feelings with your present state and see if anything has changed. I found The Healing Codes to be an interesting read and learned a few things about cellular memories and how they impact our lives.

Most incredible book I've ever read!

We get lots of good information from many self-help books, but non seem to really put it all together. None until now....this book is written in plain, easy-to-understand english and puts it all together.'

The principles work! I have experienced excruciating pain for the past year. Various types of modalities were used to treat my neck, pain medications, physical therapy, massage, chiropractic, traction, and finally botox injections (which helped about 50%).

After four days of the exercises in this book I can turn my head all the way to my shoulders, and can nod with no pain. You will NOT be disappointed with this book.

    more from this reviewer

Push aside your current beliefs, read and learn how you can easily heal yourself and your loved ones.

This book has been in my book review container for a few weeks. A large tarp material like blue square bin I keep in my bedroom. I was not sure if I wanted to read another self help book again. Even though I asked to review it it seemed to hang in the balance. This past week I received a wake up call that my one brother has to have a whole kidney removed, that the doctors found a tumor. As I trudged through my books to do the next review. I pulled The Healing Code out and thought about my brother. This book made so many connections for me it was unreal. I have always pondered why when a transplant is done the recipient seems to take on the feeling and tastes of the donor. I have studied and read for years now about how our bodies are made up of energy and have many interests in quantum physics. I still could not place my self into thinking it could be so simple as a 6 minute exercise to heal or mind or body or both.

The Healing Code however brought all those books I have read together, it all makes sense to me now. Like other times while reading a self help book I told myself you must not jump ahead, and I didn't. I was left with a feeling of unreality, yet wanting so badly to believe this book. Unreality because we are so tuned to think that a pill could help us or take care of an ailment, that this simple technique couldn't possibly just do all it claims. Yet just as this book explains there are so many pills that seem to work, yet the physicians and even the pharmaceutical companies who manufacture them have no idea how or why they do. Why do we believe a chemical will work for us in our body when it is nothing but basically a poisonous substance mixed in a lab when you really think about it. Then trails are done and results made public and the pills manufactured. Only to find out 10 years later it helped the depression but now the liver is half dead from the poison. Why is it that something so simple as this technique can leave us feeling like we are complete idiots if we even believe we should give it a try? Well I decided to give it a try and not only for my health but for the health of my brother and other family members.

As I read this book I thought about all the people in my life that could benefit from this technique. My uncle, sister, husband and even my 9 year old son. I thought about my brother how maybe he would think I had lost my mind when I decide to present this to him. Then again if you are told you have cancer wouldn't any one of us do anything and everything in our power to find a cure for ourselves. I at this point didn't care what he might think. The Healing Code explains some things I already knew about our unconscious and conscious minds. However it goes into more detail with that and explains on how we hold these memories which cause our immune systems to shut down. I couldn't begin to even explain this. All I can say is this book is a book everyone should read. You lose nothing by doing these exercises in the privacy of your own home, not even your pride.

I have received a complimentary copy of THE HEALING CODE for review and have not been compensated in any other way. All opinions expressed above are solely my own.

    It Works!

I highly recommend this book. The process works.
You do have to read through a lot of redundant stuff to get to the process, but it works!

My physical therapist recommended I read this book. I've tried

My physical therapist recommended I read this book. I've tried all kinds of things, having both emotional and physical issues, to help with pain, fatigue, and stress. (my physical issues are genetic and I've had to deal with pain since 10 about 45+ years). I was amazed how quickly I started to feel better. I still feel silly when I do a code but I can't argue with the results. I highly recommend this book. Just try it!

Highly Recommended? Yes! This Book Is Remarkable!

Given the chance, this book will change your life. It is filled with information that we can all learn from. I'd also recommend that you buy "When God Stopped Keeping Score," an intimate look at the power of God and forgiveness. It's on sale here on BN. It too will change your life.
