This book wasn't exactly what I thought it would be, nor did it

This book wasn't exactly what I thought it would be, nor did it live up to the 5 star reviews others gave. The beginning of the book seemed to jump around a lot and was difficult to read on the Kindle app on my phone, better on my tablet. When I finally got to the heart of the information: suggestions on oils to use, amounts, what ailments they treat, etc...I was disappointed to find that a handful of oils were continuously mentioned giving a narrow perspective. What I wanted to get out of the book but didn't: shelf life of different oils, storage of oils, duration of use before tolerence builds to where they become ineffective... The author mentioned Thieves oil as a way to combat mold in buildings. I had to "google" it because there was no furhter information in the book. Also the book focused on cancer, Hepatitis, flu and parallels to Chinese medicine. I was hoping for more information on daily uses for sore muscles, aging, general health. The book touched on those subjects briefly. The book was an easy read if you skim it. I was very disappointed in the recommendation section which gave 2 references to the author which I felt was biased. I will seek out other, hopefully broader-based and less biased books - it was a decent primer and now my curiosity is piqued on essential oils.
