I am no music critic, but I am a music fan, so I will keep this short and sweet! With each album Our Lady Peace creates, the band continues to outdo themselves. "Healthy in Paranoid Times" is no exception, and includes, quite possibly their best song ever, "Apology." Raine's voice has never sounded better and the band has never sounded tighter. Other stand out songs include "Angels/Losing/ Sleep," "Picture," and "Boy." Additionally, "Wipe That Smile Off Your Face" is a song full of emotion, directed at George W. Bush. Lastly, "Al Genina (Leave The Light On)" tells the story of Raine Maida's trip to the Darfur region of Sudan and illustrates his concern for other troubling world issues. "Healthy in Paranoid Times" was well worth the wait. You owe it to yourself to purchase this album.

    Very cool

Alright, this album, has amazed me in two ways. One, it's content was great. The songs have a lot more depth as compared to their last album "Gravity" which was the most poppy radio collection by them. If you enjoy the goo goo Dolls, then "Gravity" should be yours as well. Now, the second thing that amazed me was the negative reactions to the cd from the critics. "Healthy in Paranoid Times" dragged? Well, if you're used to the 2 minute something rap/pop songs that are in full circulation on the radios...then yes, a 5 minute song can drag. This album is one of the greatest collections that Our Lady Peace has created. A definate "get it" to complete your OLP collection. Also a great OLP Cd to start from if you're a new fan.

these are the songs they picked?

i'm a die hard olp fan but even i've got to say that this is a sub par cd. even naveed had at least one good song going for it. it just seems to drone on and on, the songs sounding the same. considering how many songs they say they wrote for this cd they really should have taken more time choosing the right ones.
