Kate & Danny's love story is simply breathtaking. The story was SO realistic & felt so genuine that I got butterflies when they met, cried like a baby when she had to leave him & cheered when she found her way back. It was almost as if I was the one experiencing all of the ups & downs within the story & not the fictional characters. I even wanted to go into the pages & b**ch-slap her sister Julia a time or two.
What I found so refreshing however, was that Danny wasn't just up & ready to take Kate back no questions asked. More often times than not, in the romance genre, problems are solved in the blink of a few pages. All issues are forgiven easily and everyone is happy go lucky and we all go riding off into the sunset. Well, I think since we all live in the real world, we know that almost NEVER happens. What was great about this story is that when Kate returns, Danny is skeptical (as he very well should be) and he guards his heart. Yes he still loves her but he realizes that sometimes that is not enough. She has to prove her trust-worthiness & love. It is a very hard road for him & her both to travel but it is a very powerful story. A story of finding your way back to someone when trust & love have been fractured but is still worth mending.

Just recieved my nook for Christmas and I am already hooked. I recieved this book and I realy enjoyed it. It held my interest from the beginning and through the whole book. The imagery was great and loving the beach the images where so believable and realistic I felt like I was there. The story line was sort of predictable which was ok but I like suprise endings. Finished it in a weekend and ready to move on to the next in my "library".Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

Heart of Glass
I don't read regular romance novels much anymore. Maybe I'm jaded, maybe I'm jealous of the happy endings. But the author, Christy Hayes contacted me and asked me to review Heart of Glass and she was so nice, I agreed. I'm glad I did.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Yes, you could say this is a fairly typical romance story. There's a troubled past, they split, find each other again years later and each fight the same feelings. The difference with this story is in the writing. Christy Hayes writes beautifully, I could feel the salty beach air on my cheeks, my heart ached for Kat and Danny. Sometimes, I even wanted to smack them to get them to wake up and smell the love!
If you're a romance reader, don't hesitate to grab this one and give it a read!
