This was the first romance novel I had ever read. Not only did this story make me fall in love with the genre, but I also went on to read every book Julie Garwood has ever written. This book has suspense, romance, and well developed characters. Garwood starts the story strong and keeps you guessing until the every end. One of my favorite books from one of my favorite authors. If thrills and romance is what you want then this book is for you.

    Wanted more...

Thisis the first contempory I've read by Julie Garwood, love her historical romances. This left me wanting more. I wanted more suspence and romance, it wasjust a story to me. Not and great suspense and not a great romance, but good story.

    Maybe I'm a bit biased, but ...

I found Heartbreaker to be a little slow during some parts. Sure the connection between Nick and Laurant was great but it just didn't get me hooked. I definitely prefer Slow Burn over this one, but again, I'm probably biased because Slow Burn was the very first Julie Garwood book that I've read and it left a pretty good impression. So yeah.

    A little slow

A little slow through the book. There was almost a lttle to much description from the characters point of view that it slowed the book down. Still a good book but just slow.

    TOO LONG

THIS BOOK IS NOT ONE OF JULIE GARWOOD'S BEST. IT WAS OVER-LONG AND A BIT TOO CONTRIVED. FINDING OUT THE KILLER'S IDENTITY DIDN'T HAVE MUCH OF AN IMPACT.

    HEARTBREAKING

This was nothing like MERCY her lastest one. This took 6wks,I had a hard time understanding, this and I had to keep going back a couples of pages to see where I was. You do find out a little of Who is Noah, Nick,Tommy, and how they come alive as you read on . Plus Noah and the Buchanan Brothers keep you going in Mercy.

    Typical Reading

Julie Garwood is an excellent writer, but this book was too predictable. It reminds me of something I've watched on television already.
