Evidently Macombers first sold story. She has developed quite a lot since then but this is a sweet love story with some good lessons to think about. No crazy monkey sex just people with morals who try to live by a higher standard and learn from their mistakes. If reading a Bible verse or reading about struggles with living a Christian life offend you then this book is not for you. I think this was a good effort for a first book and am glad I read it.

I call this "Christian Literature." If this is what you are interested, fine. But I bought this book based on its summary. I was looking forward to another great Macomber story, but I did not enjoy having religious beliefs constantly pushed at me.

    Warning

This should come with a warning in the summary. It is a VERY Christian story. The story line in the decription was why I bought the book. Yet, it was so clogged with religious injections the story kept getting lost. It just got to the point where I had to skim and skip my way through the book. I now know to avoid all books by this author. :( very disappointed. I wanted a nice happy story, I got a sermon.

    Christian theme

This is a Christian themed story that was not outlined in the summary• This author's style of writing is very dry and factual bordering on boring•

The main chracter, Skye, is nothing but a bible thumping "Goodie Two Shoes" who is supposed to be this great Christian but she continually lies and is decietful to family and friends as well as to the man she says
she loves. I ask, is this a good Christian?
I read Debbie Macomber books often and am shocked that this is the book that began her publisher career because if I was the Editor I would have rejected it immediately. This is the poorest example of her work and doesn't even deserve one star but I can't submit my review without one..
