I am not typically a harsh reviewer.  In fact, I usually give an author the benefit of the doubt even if I don't particularly like a story because
not every story can appeal to everyone.  That being said, this story line was intriguing and did appeal to me, but there was so much
superfluous crap in the book it was hard to read!  There is a fine line between drawing a reader into the book by describing the scene
and inundating them with information not pertinent to the story.  Candace Gold not only crossed that line, but she also backed up.
crossed it again and then buried it with a backhoe!  There were pages upon pages of description that made reading tedious and
completely derailed the story.  I literally started skipping entire pages just to get to the story.

My determination was not rewarded because in this authors attempt to keep it unpredictable she made it cliche' and just as monotonous
as the descriptions!  I kept thinking it would get better and was actually shocked when she "borrowed" an entire scene from the movie
BACKDRAFT!  Not only did she "borrow" the scene, but she also borrowed the dialogue.  I know because it is one of my husband's
favorite movies and I've seen it many many times.  Shame on you Candace Gold!!!!

As if all of that wasn't bad enough, I kept thinking the story would end, but NO!  She just kept adding more junk to the end.  I HATED this
book because it was so poorly written.  It really is a shame because it would have been a good story in the hands of a more talented
writer.  Very disappointed and a complete waste of money and time.  Save your money and buy something else!
