I recommend this book to people who enjoy good, uplifting and happy books. Heidi is only five and she has lost her parents and she still looks at life in a happy cheerful way. Heidi's very presence seems to have a good impact on people, let alone her good deeds and kind words. When Heidi goes to live with Clara she is very kind to her and teaches her to walk. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I also like this book because of it's descriptive writing , Johanna Spyri did a very good job of writing it. I liked the characters and how the author almost brought them to life. My favorite character was, of course Heidi. The main characters in this book are, Heidi, Peter, Dete, Alm Uncle, Grandmother, Clara, and Clara's father. I think that the best parts of the book are when Heidi is in the Swiss Alps with her grandfather. The way that the author shows the Alm Uncle is very interesting because she shows him as a very misterious, people hating person, but, she also shows him as a very loving grandfather towards Heidi.
I belive that the author of this book was trying to teach people to look at any situation that they are in and find the good in it. This is a very important thing to learn how to do because there are many things in life that we do not want to do but must do them anyway. I think that the author did a good job writing this book. The book is very good and I highly recommend it to everybody.
