If you have read any of the other books in J.D.Nixon's Heller series, you should enjoy this one even more.  Tilly gets involved in more situations  that grow out of control, just as she always does.  But, she is learning to be more in control.  Quite a book... I laughed...

Where is the good writing, the humor, the likability of the characters. Heller was absent through most of book. It was depressing at best and boring at worst. I still just can't believe it!!!!

    Falls Short

I like this author and her books immensely (especially the Little Town series) but Heller's Regret fell short. Very little happens and what does seems like it has no purpose. There was hardly any forward progress - just several events that happen, but do almost nothing for character development or plot. I'm sure some of the events will be followed up in the final installment, but none of the other books have felt like fillers - you know, like that occasional episode of your favorite TV show that has seemingly no significance other than stretching the story out over the season. I still look forward to the next one, however! Nixon really is an incredible author.

    Ok

The beginning was horrible. I could have done without it.
