Reprint!!

Should state this as being thus. Had to look up on ebay, seemed very familiar and sure enough it is a reprint of 2005. Buyer beware!

Mixed up

I think that this is an ok story and that there was a lot parts in the story that are mixed up and confusing like when in flashbacks when she's driving I couldn't tell who was mia and who was the aunt .and other parts of mia pov

    more from this reviewer

Jill Shalvis is pretty consistent for writing great romance book

Jill Shalvis is pretty consistent for writing great romance books. This one wasn't my favorite, but it wasn't bad by any means. I give this one 3.5 stars. I liked Mia, but she annoyed me a little bit with her attitude regarding her past. I applaud her for making something of herself and being better, but what I don't like is her holier than thou attitude that she sports now. We all have our pasts and that is what helps shape us into what we are today. You should never be ashamed of your roots. They are what they are and anyone who shuns you because of where you came from doesn't deserve you anyway.

Okay, that's my rant. Aside from that, the book was good. I loved Kevin. I loved his patience and smexiness, I even loved his brother. I thought the storyline was good.

On to the next Jill Shalvis book.:)

    Her Sexiest Mistake

Her white trash past is behind Mia Appleby, but then, she is sure that she's suffered a relapse when she falls into bed with a man whose name she can't recall. Though she hides behind a cool facade, Kevin McKnight is not willing to lose her after just one tumble. In fact, when Mia's past lands in his house in the form of a runaway niece, Kevin, a teacher who works with troubled, needy kids, will be just who Mia and Hope require to help them out of the mess they're in. Mia does not want love, not from Hope, not from Kevin, but it's what her soul is thirsty for, and they need her as well. Kevin is more than willing, if she can get past her fears. Mia and Hope have to deal with anger and pride first, but if they can, this unconventional family will find joy. ................ Underneath an eye catching title is a heartwarming story. Sometimes, the comedy seems forced, but if you can ignore that to the touching story that is really there, you'll find something wonderful.
