Whole Family Loved it!
After receiving this book, I had planned to let one of my boys read it, and then the other. The first was so excited about it that the second couldn't wait, so every time the oldest put the book down the youngest would pick it up. They kept raving about it, and talking about it all the time that I had to find out what the fuss was about for myself and I am glad I did. The book is great, well written and engaging. I did not feel like I had to 'dumb down' in order to read it, which is a big plus for me.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. This book I would recommend to people who like mysteries and adventure.
"I enjoyed the book from beginning to end, like a piece of art. The story is an edge of your seat read a real thrill. Easy to read like Pseudonymous Bosch but suspenseful, awesome and thrilling as Cinda Williams Chima. It is adventurous like Rick Riordan. This is one of the best books I have ever read. The characters were unique and interesting because they are not ordinary. The author creates an interesting story withWas this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. I really enjoyed this book and highly recommend it.
(coming from a thirteen year old) "Here Comes Mr. Trouble" was a fun book that I could not put down. I would have given this ten stars but there were only five allowed. I enjoyed the adventures that Eric encountered ... especially the car chases. I like that there was humor and fun in the book too. It made me want to be a Trouble. I would highly recommend this book. I'm excited to read more about the Trouble family in future books. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

An Instant Hit
Excitement. Mystery. Hawaiian Pizza? "HERE COMES MR. TROUBLE" by Brett Battles is a book not to miss. Just by reading the title, your interest is sparked. Mr. Trouble? Who, or what, is that? From page one you dive into a familiar world, one with many unique surprises that never stop coming. Set in Tobin, Colorado, you follow the journey of two young teenagers, Eric and Maggie, and the Trouble family. Eric, a boy almost 14, begins to have some unexplained troubles. Unexplained, that is, until the Trouble family come along, willing to help him sort out his life. With best friend Maggie at Eric's side, the two of them delve into a world that's more than meets the eye. Their everyday lives will never be the same again, once they accept the services the Trouble family are offering and are exposed to what lies ahead. Was this review helpful? I'm a fourteen year old girl and reading this book is kind of like wearing your favorite pair of shoes-you can read it again and again and the soles will never wear out. It's the kind of book that makes you stay up until 2:00 AM reading because you just can't stop. "Okay, okay, I'll stop after this chapter...well definitely after this chapter...I can't just stop here..." The reasons you make to yourself not to put the book down can go on and on. One thing I love about the book is how you're constantly wondering what's going to happen next, and how you discover things as the main characters do. You're not outright given all the information, but little by little you eventually puzzle out the big picture. You can make your guesses and have your suspicions, but it's not until the very end that you piece it all together.
If I had to compare this book to another, I'd say it reminds me of Rick Riordan's "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" series, minus the greek mythology and plus the mystery. The characters in this book are easily relatable, and sometimes you'd even think that the author must be a teenager to be able to know how one would react, or what they'd say, in a certain situation. Writing a story for teenagers, about teenagers is hard to do, especially since adults would do things so much differently in certain cases, but Brett Battles manages to capture the essence of youth without diminishing the quality or realism. I would definitely give this book five out of five stars, and say if you're looking for a new book to read, and enjoy books like Rick Riordan's, this one should definitely be at the top of your list.
